Long before today’s performance paddles, wooden paddles helped bring pickleball to life. We know Wagas Picklewood is not trying to be the most high tech paddle on the court. It is our handmade tribute to the classic feel of wood, made for players who appreciate history, character, and something a little less ordinary.

Each paddle comes from our family workshop in Compostela, Cebu, where we have been working with wood since 1998. From shaping and sanding to engraving and finishing, every piece passes through the hands of our artisans, carrying the small marks, grain, and warmth that only handmade work can have.

This paddle was not made in isolation. Through the growing pickleball community in Cebu, we met players who tested, shared feedback, and helped us understand how a wooden paddle could feel better in today’s game. Their support helped turn a workshop idea into a paddle that can actually be played, rallied with, and enjoyed on court.
